Âme, Echonomist, Trikk, Roman Flügel and Mathew Jonson, all feature across this collection of collaborators and peers.
Dixon’s musical selection of the "Transmoderna EP“ initiates the spectrum and visions of a future generation amid shape-shifting and hybrids through sound. Elegant execution and self-assured experimentation in every moment
of all four songs.
From their acclaimed live collaborations, Âme and Mathew Jonson embark on the title track “Transmoderna.” The sound blooms out of an electro rhythm and get touched by a rolling bassline. Voices, out of tune beyond recognition, contain a deep, disturbing feeling, whilst they transform into a repetitive hypnosis. Space is created for pulses and flashes.
Evoking the comfort of the beloved phrase, Echonomist transports the listener “Back To Mine.” At its heart a constant loop, a pulsating synth riff, worshipping journeys up and down the musical scale. A sense of continuous fluid motion; thrilling and calming coextensively.
“Marazul” by Trikk is a brooding slow-burner. The sci-fi synth workout soars upwards into cinematic string arrangements which tug at the heart, simmer and spill over at occasional moments of release.
Frank Wiedemann & Roman Flügel close the EP by joining forces on “Tears On The Dancefloor.”. A twangy, warped guitar string takes its place in centre, accompanied by syncopated wooden rhythms which curve around the contours of dramatic synthesizer magic.
